I have a dish 1000 plus setup which gets 110/119/129. There are no switches it runs direct from dish to my 2 receivers on seperate coax lines. What do I need to do to get 118?
Can I get 118 with a 1000+ dish?

You sure you have a Dish 1000+ or a Dish 1000.2. The 1000.2 gets the 3 sats you mentioned.. The 1000+ would already be getting the 118 Sat
You MUST have the 1000+ or a 500+ (same dish, different lnb's) to receive 118.75. It is such a totally different animal from the other regular dish satellites that it takes a special lnb to receive it.
Why do you need a DP 44 switch with it? I do not have a switch on my current 1000 setup and the switch doubles the cost.
because the dish 1000 has the switch built into the DPP twin on it... the Dish 1000+ doesnt have the switch built in. It has four outputs, so you need a switch that can accept 4 inputs... a DPP44 switch
They did show us a new version coming out of the 1000+/500+ with a built in switch, but did not have a release timeframe for it.
