Can I get local channels with my antenna after getting dish?

I am using an antenna, and am perfectly happy with the quality of the local channels. However, I'm considering getting Dish Network for its international packages. Once I get it, will I still be able to get local channels through my antenna (on my roof) or will I have to pay the $5 to get the local channels through the dish?

As long as you get a receiver that has an OTA tuner. I'm not sure which ones all do but I know the ViP622 does. But Dish does not provide EPG info for your locals unless you pay the $5 to subscribe to their locals. Then you get Dish locals and the EPG for OTA locals.

If you only want your locals in HD, I would get an sd receiver and leave the ota hooked up the way it is. If you get an HD receiver you would incur more fees for what you are getting for free right now.

811 would be a decent choice if you don't want any dish HD.
