Can I plug DirecTV receiver into E* Dish?

Hi!

I have E* with a Dish 500 and a single dish pointed at 61.8. Can I simply plug a DirecTV receiver into this set up and subscribe to DirecTV programming? Or will I have to install new dishes?

That is, is a DirecTV receiver compatible with the E* dishes and LNBs? I can always realign the dishes if it is only satellite locations that is a problem. But am not technically savvy enough to know if there are other Dish/LNB issues that would prevent this.

No. Different technologies.

What do you have aimed at 61.5? There is no Directv satellite at that location so you would have to reaim the dish. If it is a DISH 300 with a single or dual Legacy LNB you could use it for 101. If it is a Twin or Quad or any of the Dish Pro variants it will not work for D*.
