I have an old DVR-510 receiver with UHF remote from about 4 years ago. I now have a ViP-722 and a DVR-625. I'd like to use my old DVR-510 remote (which again, is UHF) to operate my DVR-625 receiver, which is in my home office. Is this possible? Can I use the UHF control, so i can keep it in my guest room to control the 625 thru walls? Or am i limited to the IR capability, which would make it useless?....Or maybe I can't use it at all!! Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks!

You need a UHF-PRO remote for the 625, the 510 remote is not pro so it will only work as an IR with the 625.

If the remote that you have has ana area at the bottom that is colored that is because a key has been inserted. I believe that the 510 hasa black key inserterd. the 625 would usea differen t key.

as I said it amy be possible. What remote do you have? Besides you can always order the new remote with keys to contol either reciver.

I went the other way. My old 625 for tv1 works my dvr510 that I got from a friend. Try online sites like the dishstore. Remotes are cheap on ebay too.
