I got to ask this. Its driving me nuts. I read through hundreds of posts this weekend and I am sad got some B-Day money and money saved up to switch to Dish.
I really like the 922s menus and guide. In fact I love it. I would love to switch from DirecTV to Dish
but
It seems like with the addition of the SLING option many things do not work. I maybe the extra CPU load required for SLING is breaking things? I see lots postings on missed recordings, crashes, Google TV not working, external Hard Drive not working and NO TV2 out.
QUESTION: can I get a 922 with out SLING, but with all the 722 system that does work? In other words I want a 722 just with the new GUI and Guide menu?
Yes I know few here can answer this and maybe no one can answer it, maybe Dish will read this
or
maybe just maybe someone here knows of some insider information about a new 922 model coming out with these features (NO SLING, new GUI, but with the working features listed above).
