I was just wondering if you can get canadian satellite SC or BEV in the southern U.S. What are the advantages of canadian over say Dish network. Just curious!!!

I think NE Alabama might work for N3, I believe most of Alabama can pick it up. So you should be okay with either Star Choice or Bell Expressvu.
The best way to tell is swing a dish over for 91. Use a dish network reciever to see if you can pick up TP 11. If you get a good signal on TP 11, then you're withing the footprint.
Check here for some reading of N3 in the southeast to be sure

Central Florida: I had BEV previously and am now with SC with 75cm dish. No problems with either. I always opt for the larger size dish.

French channels

Canadian providers offer a wide selection of French-language channels that are simply not available elsewhere.
