Canceling – 1 year commitment?

I keep reading all the posts with 1 year commitment. When I ordered Dish 3 weeks ago over the phone, the CSR asked if I wanted 1 year, 2 year or no contract. I asked what the difference was (price) and he said there wasn’t one. I said no contract. When the installer came out and set me up, I even wrote no contract on the form and circled it. I didn’t have time to read the fine print.

Anyways, when I call and cancel Dish in a few months are they going to pull contract sh#t on me? From reading all the posts it sounds like it’s going to be a fight.

If you initial on the places that say 1 year contract and sign it saying that you agree to the terms that you don't read and then put in a circle you want no contract? No comment from the peanut gallery.
