Can't watch recordings day they are recorded

Recently when I attempt to watch a show on the day it was recorded, I get a message saying live TV when I try to fast forward.
There used to be a selection to watch live, start over. What changed and why.
This has been one of the Hopper features preventing me from dropping Dish and going to the Cox DVR which I will be picking up today for a test drive.

There used to be a selection to watch live, start over.

There still is. See them every Sunday when I start watching a Colts game about 2 hours in, then 30 sec skips or FF through Half time until I eventually catch up to Live Tv.

This is a bug introduced recently. Trying to skip forward during a recording ( at least on PTAT) sends you to live TV.

I have the same problem. Started one or two weeks ago.

Same problem here. I couldn't FF, REW, etc, during last night's "Ghosts." But then we watched "Georgie and Mandy" and functions DID work.

Every now and again, Dish decides to push out some new features, and they seem to forget to test existing features to see what the new features broke.

Isn't this like the original Hopper issue with it autorecording the broadcast nets, with auto-skip when viewing, and the nets went crazy over losing out on commercial viewing, and then the compromise was to only allow the autohopping like hours later or the next day. Presume viewers could always manual skip, but maybe they can put a time hold on that as well?

Me too. I wonder if you called support if they would admit there is an issue after having you disconnect the power numerous times.

NO!
They won't admit to anything other than "we will give you Netflix free for 2 years, with a 2 year contract".
But I don't want Netflix.

New software was pushed today, possibly a fix for this issue which sounds similar to what's discussed here: Hopper 1 Software H183, Hopper 2 Software H283, Hopper 3 Software H383, Hopper Duo Software H483 and Hopper Plus Software P13106 released & available
