The sad part is bullies always try to justify their behavior. Bluegras gets threatened with banishment and the bullies on this forum pat each other on the back and deny ownership for their behaviors. I proudly take ownership for my comment and am not afraid of ridicule from anyone on this forum.

Dish was foolish to give any dates or even timeframe for this. When they demo'd it, they should have just said "here's something we're evaluating" and left it at that. No customer is impacted in any way if this never sees the light of day...

It was mentioned about a month ago that it till on a larger scope than previously announced, hence the "missed" roll-out (some feel that Q2 means April and anything different was a lie). I said it will be another 6-12 months before we see it.

And now, precisely because bluegras asked the question, we now know much more about the issue. We learn as a result of the question that it is a total rewrite and we should not expect it for 6 months. I guess that Scott was not going to automatically tell us this anyway. We should be thanking bluegras for his question instead of chastising him.

The scope of the project has changed, instead of just a UI change I understand its more of a total rewrite of the software, thus the delay.

OH MY GOD! Total rewrite of the software??? I sure hope this doesn't mean that we get all kinds of new software bugs and glitches because of this rewrite. I kind of like the way it works now. I thought the whole reason why we were getting the new interface was because it was more cosmetic in appearance.
