card swap question

Hoping someone is active and can answer this soon

Got my new cards today and in the instructions it says service will be disrupted while I change cards.

Ok... so.... for how long?

And if I change the card on the bedroom receiver, will it affect the actual program service on the entire account? Or just on that one receiver (so my wife
can still keep watching stuff from the living room receiver while I'm upstairs swapping out the card on the bedroom receiver?)

it affects the programming for maybe 5 minutes and its on each receiver as you do them

if there is a card involved originally
1. turn on receiver
2. rip out old card
3. put in new card
4. box resets and says "you upgraded your card"
5. box downloads like if you just plugged in receiver (1 of 5, 2 of 5, etc then downloads guide)

no card (aka card built in)
repeat all steps minus step 2

I did it on 4 receivers and each lost programming for maybe 5 minutes tops
