I want to catch a Dish Network international channel which is beamed from 118.7w.

Setup: I have a DP311 receiver, a 33'' circular dish and the following new LNB:

l8s.jpg

  • Model: ROC CSS118
  • For 118.7(Anik-F3) & 119
  • L.O.: 10.750Ghz
  • I.F.: 11.70Ghz ~ 12.75Ghz
  • O.F.: 950Mhz ~ 2150Mhz
  • Noise Figure: 0.3dB
The LNB is connected directly to the receiver without a switch.

Problem: I am not getting any signal on the receiver. When I swap this LNB with a Dish500 lnb, I can catch 119w. But keeping everything same, with this lnb I get neither 119 nor 118.7. I wonder if this lnb is compatible with DP311 without any other settings on the receiver. Any suggestion/help will be highly appreciated!

I have finally managed to fix this. It was just a dish pointing issue.

By the way, the above setup is perfect to receive the signal from 118.7 alone. It cannot see 119 if you are using DP311. 118.7 is a little difficult to point because of weak signal strength. Here is what I did (using just the signal meter in receiver) - I first pointed the dish for 119 using my other LNB and then swapped the 118 LNB in.
