NOVEMBER 22, 2005 -

CBS will begin airing its new pre-season prime-time shows on Jan. 17, with the premiere of Love Monkey, about a 30-something record executive working and dating in New York. The show will air in the 9 p.m. Tuesday time period now occupied by The Amazing Race, which will complete its cycle.
Also premiering is The Jenna Elfman show, a working title, starring Jenna as a single lawyer trying to find love while balancing her career. The sitcom will debut at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, in the time period now occupied by Out of Practice, which will go on hiatus until March.

Premiering in March will be a new drama, The Unit, starring Dennis Haysbert and Scott Foley, about a covert team of Special Forces operatives. Also that month, Julia Louis-Dreyfus debuts in a sitcom called The New Adventures of Old Christine, wherein a divorced, working mom's life is complicated by her ex-husband and his new, younger wife.

Hmm, isn't Amazing Race 9 coming on in that slot in the spring? Maybe it's later in the spring and this show will just fill the void for a few weeks...
