Still no word about what's to become of 15.1. What is the upcoming spectrum auction about? There's no chance 15 and 49 from York could be sold and disappear is there?

WLYH's Wikipedia article now includes this: "In December 2015, sister station WHP-TV added a second subchannel on 21.3, which carries a duplicate of WLYH-TV and was created in order to increase its viewing area by more than two times. In addition, the station changed its on-air branding to The CW Central PA on January 1, 2016." I'm wondering if they have no plans to do any more than this for the immediate future. That would be most disappointing!!

Sinclair technically sold 15 to Howard Silk Holdings. In theory Sinclair can still run it for a while but its possible 15 may be auction bait....or they will move CW off of there soon.
(just because someone posts it on wiki....doesnt mean its legit) ;)

Bumping this thread a bit: As of 6am Monday Morning, 15.1 will no longer be CW Central PA, as it will just be on 21.3. 15.2 "GRIT" moves up to 15.1 and 15.3 "Comet" moves up to 15.2. 15.3 will go dark. Blue Ridge Cable's channel lineup for the two cable companies around here now identifies WLYH-15 as "CBS 3 Harrisburg".

so now technically the "new" 15-1 qualifies for must carry on Dish and Directv.
If Dish adds it, they will probably just number it "16"

They finally dropped the CW off of WLYH and as you predicted simply moved up the other two channels. 15.1 is now Grit and 15.2 is Comet. It's a shame they couldn't add something else, but if it's going to be sold in the auction anyway, it doesn't matter. :-(
