CES in Las Vegas

Well this is going to be my first trip to the CES show in Vegas. Any one got any pointers on what to check out first. If you have good links on the new stuff at the show let me know...

I'll be there too. Been lots of times.

What to check out first depends on your interest. Also you have to consider some special stuff is at other locations like high-end audio.

I personally don't car much for the car audio - tons will be there, but I do like to check out the cars.

Of course you need to go the E* booth to see what smoke and mirrors they have this year. Last year and the year before they showed the HD-PVR that was coming very soon. Actually talked with one of the 921 team last year about the demo unit they had.

You probably will want to hit D and Tivo to see what they have going. I'm hoping the HD-Tivo will be announced with a price. Then maybe E* will cuts some deals on the 921 .

Of course there is always the Sands for the porn convention in town too if you get bored with the electronics show.

Do you go to Vegas alot? If not, let me know and I can suggest some places to eat.

I am hearing some rumors that Dish will be showing off a new HD recorder which will plug into the 921 to timeshift.

I also hear that this unit is made by JVC, but what I am hearing is this unit is NOT one of the existing DVHS models.

Guess we will find out this week,

yea i guess i read where there having some kind of porn awards. I use to love going to the satellie show out there but have not been for 5-6 years so i guess it will be nice.

Make sure and visit my brother who will be exhibiting plasma screens for Nakamichi. He invited me to come along but I can't get the time off work this year
