why is this in the Dish Section, i think it should move to a section where this topic is perfect.

Probably due to the complaints about ESPN News being discontinued by Dish because of Disney demands for higher fees. Do you ask for more money for something no one is watching? Makes Dish's argument a lot stronger.

this story had nothing to Dish or the current Dispute over ESPNews and the other 3 Disney owned HD channels. the story's about the pending near future changes and plans for the ESPN networks.

Hmm the site was taken down yesterday and it said that Time Warner and ABC/ESPN have made progress... guess all that is out the window now. :)

It still says the following:
"The Walt Disney Company and Time Warner Cable have made significant progress in our negotiations for continued distribution of ABC, Disney and ESPN networks and services. We are now focusing all our attention on a successful conclusion of these efforts prior to the September 2 deadline. Please continue to check this site for further updates."

It's not a done deal, but they are getting closer

They fixed it.

Report: Time Warner, Disney Reach Carriage Deal
TVPredictions.com

Washington, D.C. (August 30, 2010) -- Time Warner and Disney have reached an agreement to enable the cable operator to keep carrying ABC and ESPN, the New York Post reports.

The agreement comes less than two weeks before the NFL season (ESPN has the broadcast rights to Monday Night Football) and less than a month before the start of ABC's new fall season.

The two sides have been bickering in public over the new carriage agreement. If a new agreement was not reached by September 1, Time Warner subscribers could have lost the SD and HD signals to the Disney-owned channels.
The New York Post writes that the agreement must still be approved by the companies' legal departments, but "no fireworks" are expected.

Wonder where he copied that from?

Back to the OP. I see they updated ESPN News to have Highlight Express for several hours followed by Sportcenter. It appears they dumped the repeats of PTI and other Shows. Glad PTI is gone as I can stand the show to begin with.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Show the scores twice an hour or whatever, but I don't always need a constant ticker on every channel.

Maybe they will add more tickers than ESPN can look like Bloomberg'
