Changing remote channels

everytime I change the channel on my 721 it changes it on my 501 upstairs. How do I fix this?

You need to change the remote address of one of your receivers.

Pick your receiver. turn the other receiver off.

for the receiver your changing and that's on -

Press sys info

hold the sat button untill all the lights lumminate, then release so sat is blinking

Enter another number less than 10 (dont know the highest you can pick so go with that )

press the # key

then press record

the number for remote address on the sys info screen should change

I am having this problem. I have 2 dual-tuner receivers. One day my remote addresses magically changed to the same one, and I have no idea how. Now my 2nd and 4th TVs are both being controlled by the UHF remotes. I want to change the address of one of them, but I followed the above instructions, and although the remote itself changes, the Sys Info screen does not reflect any change. So the remote stops talking to the TV.

Any idea how to fix this? I am lost!

are you sure you were changing the remote adress for the correct 2nd TV?
