I'm not sure if this is the proper forum to post my question, but I'll ask anyway...

I am currently looking to switch from cable to satellite ( mainly due to cost ).....I have read reviews for most of the big name TV service providers, and they all seem extremely negative....So I am kind of confused as to what I should get......I am perfectly fine with not getting any HD channels, but multiple DVR's are a must.....I checked out the channel lineup and the package info for the big 2 satellite company's, and I'm fine with what they offer.....Besides the ESPN bundle, I don't need any additional sports packages.....An adult movie channel ( with a subscription package ) is also preferred......Cost would be a selling point as well....

If anyone has any recommendations, as to what I should look into, based on my preferences, I would be appreciative...

Also, it's nice to see a website that seems dedicated to giving unbiased advice....Sucks that it took me 2 days to find through a search engine though...

Both DIRECTV and Dish offer many channel choices. You will need to look through their lineups and see which channels you want. When you figure that out, look at the price, calculate a 2 year price since that is what they will lock you in for. Then go with the one that best suits your needs. The only real difference between the two companies is which channels they offer in which package. This makes price comparisons different for every user. If a channel is important to you pick the company that can give it to you.
