Is there a way to export Transponder INI files from a channel list pulled into Channel Master?
i'm thinkingthis might take a while
but i did do something like this with the Nextorm software , i will have to think what i did and look the files over and post back
If I was really into writing scripts, file manipulation with text is relatively easy, but I am not that far advanced.![]()
Yes, Qwert would be the man for this job.Talk to our man, Qwert1515
He might consider it an add-on to TheList
I've done stuff like that many times in the past.
- Process raw text, and output data-base format. (for that one, I even wrote caching software for reads and for writes to speed it up!)
- Process one flavor of plotter commands, and output the language used by another plotter (even did the math to draw circles when the target plotter didn't know how).
- Used to do it for stats for my SETI team.
Text manipulation is pretty easy, when you know the expected source text format and what you want to output.
LinuxMan, I have a console program that converts a Channel Master file to DVBDream INI files, is that what you are looking for?
Linuxman, I sent the file to your email because the forum would not allow me to attach the file. If you have any problems with it please let me know.
Also C-Band satellites positions are changed from °W to °E so that they do not overwrite the Ku band satellites (The program uses the DVBDream (DVB INI) numbering format).
The INI format (That DVBDream uses, I have never used DVBViewer so I don't know if it is the same) only allow transponder information freq, pol and SR, it does not allow channel information.
Yes the full path shows up.It is better to send me a PM or post here than to contact me by Email
When you drag the CM file into the console windows does the name and path of the CM file show up?
Windows XP SP2What version of windows are you using?
The CM file has to be saved as a Channel Master Project File (cmproj).
One other thing, is the path surrounded by quotes ex. "c:\file.cmproj" it should be.
