Channel Master and Transponder INI Files

Linuxman, In CM you can export a coolsat ndf file to a channels.mdb(mytheatre) file, allowing a Coolsat 5000 blind searched list in Mytheatre. If you want to do the same in Dvbviewer its a little less elegant, however possible. In the Dvbviewer members area there is a satcodx import plugin, install that, then export your ndf file as an sdx file, then import that file with the channel editor in Dvbviewer.
I understand you are probably looking for something more seamless but this method will get you to where you want to go in the short term.:)

Thanks Starman,

That's good information.

I did export my CS file to MyTheatre, and am using it there.

With Qwert's help, the cmproj file converted very nicely, and it pulled right up into the Transedit which will save it in the format it needs to if there any changes to be made. :)

However, doing it your way, might bring all the channels with it.

I'll take a look at it.

Thanks!

Between Qwert's tool, and Starman's suggestion, I now have the entire channel list, and all the transponders inserted into DVBViewer.

The transponders were pulled right into Transedit, and when I saved them all, they were saved in DVBViewer format and are now ready to go.

I still have to go to each satellite and set the LOF, and position number, but both of these Men have saved me a tremendous amount of work.

EDIT: BTW, all I did to the C-Band files was change the E to W, and they were moved right into place by their Ku counterparts. :)

Thank you both very much. :)

I wanted to clarify the Satcodx export and import wasn't quite as seamless as I had first thought.

The export combines C and Ku into one satellite, so all the channels from both bands are there together.

It is a great help, but I will need to pull the list back into channel master, and keep the satellite with the most channels on each position and delete the channels from the other band whichever it is to move forward.

I then will need to re-create the missing satellites in DVBViewer and re-scan for a full channel list. It still will save lots of time. :)
