This has happened to myself and a couple other people I have talked to. I got my bill from the Dish one day and found a couple charges for smut movies on my bill. The movies were "ordered" around 7am on a weekday. My girl leaves for work around 730am and I sleep till at least 11am. Neither one of us rented the movies so I called the Dish. They claim that someone in my home HAD to order these movies! They said that is HAS to be done through the remote control. Hmmmmmm........Interesting. Too bad they are completely wrong. They have to be wrong... we did not rent the movies. I called to complain and question the bill. They gave me a hard time but took the charges off as a "one time exception". Has anyone else had this problem? I know that myself and two other people that I know have called the Dish about this. They must know that there is a problem. There has to be some kind of security flaw. Can someone steal your signal, or hack your remote control signal? I know that sometimes we will be watching TV and all of a sudden the info screen will pop up. My girl and I look at each other and scratch our heads. I'll hit cancel and it will pop up again a few seconds later! It does not happen all the time but it does happen. I just want to know if anyone else had anything like this happen to them? You might want to disable your ability to order movies from your remote (which sucks) to avoid any bogus charges from the Dish.

It sounds like a neighbor of yours also has E* and is using a UHF remote on the same channel or frequency as yours. You need to change the channel on your remote and receiver. You can find the instructions in your instruction manual or elsewhere on this site. You can also wait for someone more knowledgeable than me to tell you the exact procedure. If you have anymore problems with E*, you call them back and tell them you had interference from a neighbor with your remote control.

Damn now thats hard core if you order porn at 7 in the morning :D .
Any how, yes I agree the the other poster, I would check next door and see if they have Dish.

Edit: Also you can password protect your receiver so if there is someone with the same remote address it wouldn't be charged to you account.

Lock out the PPV so you have to use a code each time you want to order one. For some people it is too easy to accidently order a PPV you don't want.

Isn't it funny how you never see any posts complaining about being erroneously charged for non-porn PPV's?

Why is it only the porn movies that "I never ordered"?

because more "moving parts" are involved in a porn ppv, and even in my old age I still can remember :D :D
