In December 2008 I saw the 1 cent addition to my bill for Cinemax.

In January 2009, when I look on my bill there is a "Here's the Dish" section.

I have a section that states:

Thank you for using credit card AutoPay with Paperless Billing for
your DISH Network account. As a token of our appreciation, we
have extended your Cinemax premium movie channels for just a
$.01 for one additional year. Thank you for managing your
account online!

Is this Dish just being slow and telling me AFTER the fact that they charged me ... ?

Or has the offer been extended for a year? It was my understanding that this was a 2 year offer. I signed up in Jan 2008, so I figured it would expire Jan 2010. Does this mean it will now go till 2011?

It's one year and then it auto-renews for a penny for another year....basically making it two years total.

I would expect being charged for cinemax when your two years are up. (unless dish explicity states they'll be continuing the promo)
