I don't think so, the do run the PLUS stuff during the day with more tickers and things. Probably more of their target audience than a wider screen anchor desk shot.

Sometimes when some financial 'wizard' is making a presentation they show it in a window in the border area and provide audio via alternate audio track.

No they do not. They only upgraded their master control to HD and not their studios and control rooms. Too expensive for them. So what they did instead was to upgrade an HD output from their master control and just use a Graphics PC to fill in the rest of the HD. So their HD channel is always their SD content with graphics to fill in the HD sides. They did it that way so they can get the ratings numbers from both HD and SD channels which help boost their ratings a small bit.

I believe right now for the news channels only CNN and Fox Business have any true HD content. Fox Biz built their network as an HD setup for both studios and control rooms so the majority of their stuff is HD and all of CNN's NY bureau and content and their special recorded programs are in HD. Their Atlanta stuff is all still SD though.
