The feds are requiring them to provide carriage of the sports that were linked but not by sat, in philadephia......

So comcast said if thats fair then D should lose the NFL sunday ticket exclusivity.

honestly that does seem fair.

Perhaps fair in their dealings with D*, although it's the NFL that writes the contract. As (briefly) mentioned on the similar topic over in the sports forum.... That's comcast's beef with D*, what's their issue with E* (other than trying to keep from loosing subs)? Don't see the logical dot connection to blame E* for D* and the NFL's exclusive arrangement.

There isn't one. Bob just has this need to post here even though it has nothing to do with Dish whatsoever...He is completely obsessive that way.

What does this have to do with Dish Network? Perhaps it needs to be moved?

It does need to be moved and will be moved...

However this is why I believe that the COMCAST / NBC deal should not be allowed.

We have a FCC ruling that says the cable companies MUST make these channels available to the satellite providers and we now have big bad Comcast saying that they wont give access to those channels unless DIRECTV gives up its exclusive deal for the NFL Sunday Ticket...

If I remember correctly COMCAST had the chance to bid for the NFL package just like everyone else did and they lost.

If COMCAST is saying NO to a FCC Ruling now then what are things going to be like if they approve the COMCAST / NBC Universal deal?

It's the contract. comcast could have outbidded D* and cwould have gotten the exclusive deal instead but that didn't happen. Basically to me it sounds like comcast is jealous that they didn't win the contract with the NFL. They're poor losers and are taking out on sat. subs.
