The cable company will offer newly-released and older movies and TV episodes from previous seasons through its VOD menu, which previously only offered titles to rent. Subscribers will be able to purchase titles from their cable box or a website and store them in the cloud, enabling them to watch that content on a TV, computer or tablet.
The cable giant is selling films ahead of their DVD release as well as older titles and episodes of series like "Mad Men," "Bates Motel" and "Suits."
Comcast has begun selling movies on TV and online, less than a week after reports that the cable giant was considering opening such a digital storefront.
