Hi all!
Help!
Am dealing with the usual, or so it seems, problem of component to rgb.
Here is the equipment I am dealing with:
Dish Network HD receiver 811; info, along with product brochure (download pdf) can be found at dish network site
Sony Flat Panel PFM-42B1, product brochure with specs can be found at:
adcom=ca/products/display_devices/Sony_PFM42B1S
(change "=" to "." and ".pdf" to end. it won't let me post the actual url and am trying to make it easier for you since your helping me.)
Need to connect receiver to monitor. Receiver has DVI or Componet outs and monitor only has 2 15pin RGB in along with an s-video
Will the following product work:
store=a2zcable=com/coviad15mto3
(change "=" to "." and add ".html" to end)
Don't have the knowledge to understand the spec sheet above on the monitor.
However, on monitor under set-up, have the following "input" options:
input 1 rgb
input 1 yuv
input 2 rgb
input 2 yuv
video composite
video y/c
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Will above cable work?
Do I need to just get a "componet to rgb converter" such as some unit from Viewsonic or such?
Thanks in advance,
DrBombay
