Configuring the VIP722

Is there a way to configure the VIP722 so that when I create a timer for a record operation, I can select which tuner I want it to record from, 1 or 2? TV-2 is sometimes in use by another member of the family and I don't want to interupt their viewing.

Dish receivers do not have that feature, you can set the default for tv1 or tv2, but not choose any particular one when you set up the recording.

The closest way to do what you want is to disable 'record plus': menu-8-5

Now the show will record from the TV you set the timer from. You might have to delete the old timers and start fresh.

right, what chainblu said.
if you disable record plus, then whatever tv you are standing at when you tell it to record something, will be the tv that records it.
this DOES allow you to choose which tv will record which programs.
thats the best way.
