Are the new HD channels below available on TurboHD Bronze standalone package?

Nick HD
Comedy Central HD
VH1 HD
MTV HD

If so this isn't too bad of a package to help save some cash. The TurboHD Silver and TurboHD Gold packages offer a few extra HD channels, but most of them I rarely watch. This would drop my now $85 monthly bill down to a comfortable $29.95 plus $10 for locals and DVR service. I might then even add a superstation or two or a movie package.

If you don't mind......

Not getting Fox News, then OK. However you have to add classic bronze to get it, which I did. The only news channel I watch. Kinda sucks for the extra cost, but what are you gonna do........

Only Comedy Central. Nick, VH1 and MTV are only available with Classic Bronze with HD add-on and above.

I think they are still sorting out some details. There are about 5 HD's that you can't get with the HD only setup maxxed out. It is cheaper though - so you can get more if you want to pay more (isn't that usually how it goes?).

Well that sucks! Why then have dedicated HD packages if you need to also order an SD package to get the additional HD channels you want? A total rip-off!

There are multipage threads on this. The first back in February when Fox News HD suddenly appeared. The other was a week or so ago when the Viacom HD was added. None of us know for sure why some HD channels were kept from the Turbo subs. Some have speculated it was Fox and Viacom that stipulated what packages there HD channels could be placed. It does suck and E* should not have given the Turbo packages the same metal names as their Classic counterpars without reciprocal HD coverage. There were outraged Turbo subs when this happened and E* has not been at all forthcoming on any reasons or rationale for the exclusion which is chicken manure typical for them.
