Confused... Should be simple question

Again... I am new to this so please bare with me.

If I have a HDTV monitor and a HD-DirecTV receiver can I still receive OTA local channels in HD?? I thought I had read somewhere that I could... but it didn't make sense. Please advise.

A HDTV monitor, reciever (HD DirectTV is fine), and some sort of antenna is all you need. Hook the antenna into the appropriate input on the receiver. Find the menu selection that lets the receiver scan for stations. Save. Enjoy free HD.

Thanks for both replies. I will try my current antenna before I go and drop any more $$$. You are right... we are pretty flat and I should be fine.

No problemo.

Hope you tune lots of great stations. Dallas has a ton of 'em.
