first of all let say its an honor to finally post to your site!.heres my story.921 purchased($549) 510(2) 301(1).was supposed two have the 622 hooked up on 5-9-06.i was going to lease the 622.that was going to replace the 921.921 was going into wife's living room.TV 2 on 622 was going to feed TV in garage.301 in garage was going into bedroom.my preferred installer called on the morning of 5-9-06 stating dish said the original installer had to do upgrades.went to original installer.he said they would be out on the 20th to do the upgrade.when the tech shows he can't make heads or tail what my preferred installer has done.i have a dish 500& the one for the boom package with a DP 44 switch.before i forget i also want to add one more receiver for a total of(5).the tech says he wants to replace the DP 44 with (2) 34 switches keep the 2 Sat's i already have and add a dish 1000 sat.since he showed up about 5 hours late and we had a prior engagement i told home it would have to be done at a later date well the later date is noon 5-22-06.any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Advice as to what? the 921 and the 622 in theory are considered a 3 tv set up so in all actuality if your not going to send back any receivers then you will have a 6 tv system and will need 2 switches no matter what you do unless you go with the 622, 921, 522, and 301 and drop the 2 510's in wich case if you have the dpp44 ( there is no dp44 ) then all you will need is 3 dpp seperators and 4 dishpro diplexers to take care of the 622 and 522 backfeeds.

You should have your prefered tech come back out and do the work, and if you paid for the dpp44 then dont let the tech take that switch as you own it.

heres what i wanted to do. 622 family room and garage.921 living room,510's in 2 seperate bedrooms.

If you already have the dpp44, why is he replacing it. seems like more work. If you already have that it requires one line to 622 and 921, without it you will need two lines run to both, also boom (actually voom) dish - where is this pointed? If pointed at 61.5, may have to be repointed at 129 or replaced by dish 1000.
