I am sure that the info is here but Ia m having problems with the search function. I am trying to connect my 622 to a network using an ethernet bridge. The 622 does not seem to want to get an IP address. What steps should i follow?

if you have dhcp on the network segment at the other end of the bridge, and the bridge is working correctly, you should be set.

does the bridge work if you connect a computer to it?

one other thought, if the bridge is designed to connect to a switch and not a single computer, you might need a crossover instead of a striaght-thru ethernet cable.

How do I get DHCP on the network segment?

IS anyne familair with the steps necessary to configure Linksys WRT54G and a Linksys WET5$G for thsi purpose?

I had to ask the bridge to tak the MAC address of the connected device. It passes all tests now.

so it's working now?

to answer your question, the router should be providing the dhcp to everything connected to it, unless you configured it not to for some reason.
