Contract Nearly Up

Hello everybody. I've been a "lurker" on these forums for years but don't think I've posted 'til now. I've been a DirecTV subscriber since the very day the dishes went on sale here in Indiana (1994 or so?) and installed it myself like a lot of you guys probably did.

At any rate, two years ago I had HD dish and receivers installed and I think my contract is up next month. Should I expect any e-mails or phone calls offering me any new services/hardware in order to get me to stay with DirecTV? I have no plans to leave (although would consider it should Uverse become available in my area) but was wondering if I could get any "goodies" for re-upping.

I'm sure this question has probably been asked and answered several times elsewhere so I apologize if I am duplicating another post.

The best thing to do is to wait until after your contract is up (not before) and contact retentions and see how much they value your business or if they will match other provider's offers. It doesn't hurt to ask. But no, they generally won't contact you first, if that is what you mean.
