Will a VCR or DVD player do it?

I bought the dish receiver model 6000 and, somehow, I missed that it doesn't have an RF output for SD. I used it in my previous setup to distribute the signal to other rooms in the house.

Will a VCR take the A/V input and output an RF signal?

The 6000 only outputs a SD signal on the composite outputs. If it is set to HD blue light there is no output on the composite outputs.

Mark,

As mentioned you can use a VCR or you can pick up a video modulator at any electronics store. Cheap ones (with channel 3 or 4 out) should be less than $25. You should also be aware that the cheap modulators are NOT stereo.
