when I use my cs6000 as a sig meter it only jumps 10 points when it hits something it is very hard to tell

and lak7 is right...signal strength means nothing. Its quality you want

I just moved a dish and the signal strength moved between 76 & 80 when I moved the dish....quality showed 0 until I hit a active transponder
