correct dish

I subscribe to Dishnetwork and have a Dish 500. Will this dish be compatable with any of the Free Air receivers that I could buy?

nope...need at least a 30" dish and a different LNB

there are only a few barker channels that you can get off of the dish 500 that you allready get with your dishnetwork subscription.. (ie nasa, gol, and channel 101) anything beyond that is hacking.. If you want to get into free to air you would need a 30 inch dish min... and a free to air reciver.. with a KU lnbf... I suggest ordering from sadoun as they will give you the most for your buck... and they are really good..
