Could I get NASA on AMC 3 with mini-bud?

Looking to get NASA on AMC3 with mini-bud.
What would be the smallest dish I could use?

I couldn't get it with my minibud ( 4ft dish) . You might need atleast a 6 ft dish.

I havent been able to on my 4 footer
the 5 footer mesh dish is kinda weak but stable
6 footer for sure...nice and strong

Strangely, I CAN get it on my 4 footer, in Michigan. The Q is 37% on the CS8000 meter. Typically a Q of 15 is good enough for viewing. The answer is "it depends" .

ken I could get it reliably on a 5' c-band dish, back when it was on 72W. I haven't tried it since they moved the signals to 87. I do have one 7.5' dish parked on it, which does a good job.

Now that it is on 87W, adjacent satellite interference might be an issue. I get it currently with a 6 ft Fortec motorized with a 87 signal (Coolsat 5000). However the NASA feed channel on the same sat is just marginal.

I get all the Nasa feeds fine on my almost 6ft Unimesh. Haven't had any issues since the move to 87W.

I have the DMX741. Works great for me. Even the Ku side comes in pretty good.

What dish are you using with the DMX741? The one shown on your avatar looks like an Azure Shine 120.
