I made an in-store exchange yesterday.
I just showed the man in charge my Blockbuster card and give him my mail CD, and that was it. I did not show anything else.

Today I have in my bank account that BB accessed my credit card.
Still the amount is 0.00, but why do they access my card if I didn't show anything at check out?

They automatically link my credit card with the BB account or what?

I have made in store exchanges before and this is the first time this happens.

I think they linked a CC to your account to prevent people from running off with their DVDs and never coming back. At least that's what my local BB associate told me.

When they issued you a membership card, they ran your CC, without any charges. Then if you want to rent a dvd, you just show your membership card and the CC on file would be charged. As long as you just exchange the mailed dvd for a store dvd, you will never see a charge.
