You mean other channels like the World fishing network(WFN)? I'm all in favor in waiting for good channels, but there are a few.....like the extra premium movie channels...that could be added now!

Actually Beetles HD is being held up because Yoko has some kind of thing against DVR's. Unless there is a block to prevent people from recording she will sue and in general make a nuisance of herself. In such an event the backup plan from what I hear is the Wine Tasting channel. Its sort of a shopping channel also. All the wines sampled will be available for purchase by the next available snob... uh... operator.

Well, considering there are at least 3 or 4 real channels there (including one- Golf- that DISH already carries)...and considering there is absolutely NO wit, humor, or apparent sarcasm displayed, I've got to assume that all 20 are absolutely real and that this guy has to be some kind of insider source. If it were a list of fake channels, there would be some kind of joke included, or some kind of creativity, or maybe a point of some sort. This is simply a matter-of-factual list. It would not surprise me to see this issued as a press release soon.

Oh wait, I'm sorry. I didn't see the smiley face at the end. I forgot that when people on the internet want to make a joke, what they do is string some words together- sometimes into sentences, but usually into something resembling a "phrase"- and then put a smiley face at the end to indicate where people should laugh. It's kind of like the laugh track on network sitcoms...it's easier to just tell people where to laugh than write actual jokes.

In this case, the somewhat rarer "cool sunglasses" face is also employed, indicating that the poster is indeed "cool". Again, this can be used in place of actually writing something "cool"

(Alternately, when making these sort of "funny" channel lists, you can insert the word "ocho" at the end of one or more channels to indicate that it's supposed to be funny.)

The smiley face also can be employed to indicate a "I'm just teasing" type post. For example, when posting something that may come off really mean, like personally attacking someone's complete lack of ability to write something witty or clever, you can put a smiley face at the end so people don't get their feelings hurt.

What, what, what??? I am calling to complain! I have WFN SD in HD, so there is at least one of my dreams fulfilled, but I still need:

Ping Pong HD
Bowling HD
Darts HD
Cow Dung HD
Laundry Mat HD
Pizza Oven HD
7 11 Freezer HD

I will only watch Martha Stewart in HD if it is 4:3 SD HD.

Please E* launch a satellite first! Then add 20 HD channels.

E* doesn't launch satellites, they aren't in the rocket science business ;) They contract others who are in the rocket science business to do their dirty work :D

I understand the point, but a little levity doesn't hurt anyone !

Cheers,

Ah, kind of got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning did we? Or maybe it is just time for that second cup of java.

Well, there are several Viacom (not really HD) HD channels, and FOX Cable properties HD channels that are ready to be carried.

I would like to see Fox News & Fox business in HD.

I would DVR Dave Ramsey on FBN!

You must mean "Beatles".

Ah yes pardon. Sometimes for me correct spelling is merely optional. :D

I would think one sure channel would be Fireplace HD all year around instead of just the holidays. Or better yet, Fireplace HD in the fall+winter and Air Conditioning HD the rest of the year.

Sad thing is we know they have the space for at least 14 of 'em now (based on the one day we had the new adds AND Voom - WGN)

Why WOULDN'T they move as fast as they can to get these up!?!

Didn't Charlie just recently acknowledge in public that D* has been doing a better job with HD?

If they can essentially tie things up NOW, why wait!?!

And to be honest I think the Beatles channel was the most plausible of the lot. So maybe I am not the one who did not appreciate sarcasm. Then again maybe mine just was not funny.
