Dear friends,

Welcome to the latest and greatest version of the DIRECTV Cutting Edge program! Many of you have been with us since the very beginning in 2006. You also know that I have been administering the iamanedgecutter site for about eight years now.

Unfortunately, as our hosting has become unreliable, I've decided to step back a bit rather than try to wrestle with an unhelpful hosting company as well as the aging vBulletin software.

I'm extremely grateful to Scott and the entire Satellite Guys team for giving the Cutting Edge team a place to do our thing. You'll find the same staff here as you found before, and I really appreciate Carl, Tom, Gary, and Doctor J who have been doing so much hard work on the site.

I look forward to seeing the Cutting Edge program grow and prosper! 2026 will mark our 20th year, believe it or not, and with your help, we'll be better than ever!

Working on it. We use Google Adsense Auto ads and they put ads wherever they think are best. So I want to figure out how to keep them out of the CE forums. (but still keep them on the rest of the site, as we have to pay for our servers and bandwidth still)

It is on my todo list.

Hi again and good morning from the middle Tennessee area. I have been a SatGuys member, since 2006. But, quite some time has passed since I have actually visited / participated on the site. It is once again time to get myself reacquainted with this site. I am a long time DIRECTV subscriber. I have participated in many of the CE updates, firmware / software tests, along with a few of the field trials along the way. Here's hoping and looking forward to a continued future with regards to participating in various aspects of the world of DIRECTV!

Good news...

I believe I have eliminated all the ads from the Cutting Edge Forums!

If you see any ads in the Cutting Edge Forums, please let me know the following.

1) Forum Name that you saw the ad in.
2) The device you are viewing the forum on. (Computer, Cell Phone)
3) If a mobile device please let me know the model
4) If you can show a screen shot so I can see what ad space is coming up.

I wish we could get rid of the ads on the entire site, but without the ads there is no SatelliteGuys... the bills don't pay themselves.

With no ads in our CE forums you can see the true speed and power of our servers! We know ads do slow down the experience but again they are a necessary evil. If you like what you see and want to help us keep the lights on please consider becoming a supporting Pub Member.
