Bunch of folks building their own HDTV antennas, with great success, on the cheap.

Started with a DB2 knock-off, then a DB4 and DB8.

Most recently, their building double quads, log periodic dipole arrays etc..

Interesting, but it looks like they will not receive from the back, like my CM 4228 will.

The CM 4228 is a really nice antenna.

This person took it to the next level and made 16 and 32 bay versions.

Ive seen some lumenlab antenna posts before some look good and some look scary. If anyone really wants to make an antenna more correct and good enough for transmitting you will now need algorithm data.

I once made an ultra high gain UHF yagi out of some old aluminum rods and a long piece of wood, I was actually able to watch cable tv from the box leakage on the street. I might have to try to make another and see how far out I can dx HDTV.
