D12-100 problem

The D12-100 standard receiver in the bedroom is acting up. When you try to go to a channel from the guide it will sometimes give an error message that we dont get that channel (we do), and sometimes it will go to a blank screen with sound.

I have tried menu reset, red button reset, and unplugging the unit, but nothing worked.

Any suggestions before I have to deal with customer service?

Take a look at your signal level........menu........set up...........view signal........101 sat. Any transponders missing? If all transponders are up (80-90s) the box could need replacement.

I will guess it isn't a signal issue if it only happens when trying to change the channel from the guide.
Also, since it seems you are telling us it says "channel not available" and not "searching for satellite signal".

That being said, go ahead and force download for sheets and giggles.
Just hit the reset and on the blue hello screen, push these numbers 0,2,4,6,8
Push them slowly (0 one thousand, 2 one thousand....etc)

If it doesn't work after that then call DTV.

Thats the first sign of a dying D10,11,12 receiver.
A reboot will fix it for a few days then it will happed again, Soon it will just say "To Be Announced"
On Every Channel!

I would just call now for the replacement.
