Forgive me, but often it is a FireSTICK problem, but never my Fire TV's (plural) (proper Full superior hardware). Any of these "stick" products should be avoided when the better alternative is available because there are some compromises using the cheaper "stick" options. I hear problems with those who use FireSTICK or RokuSTICK et al., STICK products. For the vast majority, it is not a matter of them not being able to truly afford the more expensive, more powerful, virtually no problem option, it is stinginess: they can't resist that lower price. However, one gets what they pay for, as the old saying goes. The STICK option should be reserved ONLY for its portability when traveling--but then, how much more larger or troublesome would packing the slender FireTV thin, square, box be, or for that matter, the very small Roku puck in order to get high reliability even when traveling? And there are cables that can be used to convert default connections.
I have no problems with DA or other apps using my FireTV full version thin square. It's the STICKS that always seem to have the problems. Perhaps DA is best on non-STICK hardware.
Avoid the STICKs. Way too many problems. and BTW, Amazons latest lesser powered "STICK" product is designed to look like the more reliable square FireTV, but its just a disguise: the new SQUARE with the guts of the inferior STICK. but marketed using the "FireTV" brand model with no mention of the word STICK, which is all it really is, a STICK "under the hood." If one wants the TRUE superior to the STICK FireTV, one needs to get the new FireTV Cube. The Cube is the proper powered new version of the old FireTV ( non-stick).
Also, a fair amount of reviews from former STICK people who bought the fully powered version praising the speed and much better reliability of the full versions vs. the STICKS and recommend full versions.
