Can Disney or discovery be veiwed w General InstramIns4400 dc2.....what are
the frequency and vc # ....etc......op manual would be great..... thanks

I see it on Lyngsat as encrypted. Encrypted does not mean FTA.

131W 4020H Shows Discovery West ITC but that report is over two years old. Digicipher is a different animal than DVBS(2) and requires a compatible receiver and the knowledge to set it up correctly even for channels marked open. Lyngsat is run from the other side of the planet and not easy for them to update or verify satellite information on our side.

DC-II was reverse engineered a couple of years ago so it has been abandoned for satellite use as it isn't no longer effectively serves its purpose.

DigiCipher 2 - Wikipedia

You pretty much have to expect that ten+ year old equipment isn't going to get you where you want to go when it comes to modern modulation and compression schemes that the major network families use.

I'm not sure what you mean by abandoned. There are LOTS (Hundreds) of DCII encrypted channels on Satellite. They have mostly abandoned the DCII modulation as there are only a small handful of channels in DCII modulation and DCII encryption. But the DVBS2 DCII encrypted channels are still abundant up their.
