I recently bought a 625 receiver off of ebay. It was new sealed in the box. I hooked it up and it went up to the downloading software and memory configuration than it shut it self off. Since then i can not get the unit to come on. The one TV 1 green light comes on but that is all. I get no picture and no other lights. The power button does not turn the green light off. Does anyone have any ideas? Could it be the power board in the unit? Are the power boards the same in the 522 and the 625?

If you hold down the power button for a few moments the light should go off and then back on -- if it's not doing that -- I dunno >_>

Sorry to hear! I've been wanting to get a 522 through ebay myself to use for DVRing myself, and I've actually heard of this exact thing happening a few times before.
I wonder if Dishnet knows this sorta stuff and sends bad firmware to receivers that are out of warranty :|
