Discovery's veteran docuseries, opening its 10th run, saw its largest premiere in three seasons with 3.8 million viewers. It narrowly edged by TNT's coverage of the NBA playoffs to stand as cable's most-watched program of the night.
In the adults 18-49 demo, the 9 p.m. premiere averaged a 1.5 rating. Pre-show The Bait was also strong, earning 2.2 million viewers and a record 1.3 rating in the older adults 25-54 demo.
