Here seems to be some kind of realtime 'approval rating' kind of thing. Or I might be wrong entirely since the display is not very informative. But it's interesting and hopefully somebody can enlighten us.

Heh, I had some other ideas to I didn't want to mention. Such as an anti-scowling monitor to make sure W's facial muscles aren't under too much strain.

But I like the lie detector theory.

BTW, right now I've got CSPAN on my 522 (love its constant split screen, same as the 1st debate). It's on the 'main' portion of my TV, and the pansat is in PIP, and I'm switching between this ticker and the constant moderator cam at:

... as in "moderator isolated", they also have one for each candidate. This way, with CSPAN, I can see constant views of all three guys' reactions.
