Deleted threads retain titles?

I am noticing that when an admin deletes a spam thread these days, the title remains instead of it saying "thread deleted"

I suspect it won't be long before an enterprising spammer puts the url into the thread title so the spam will remain after the thread is gone. Kinda the tweet of spam.

I believe only pub members can see deleted threads.

correct. only staff and pub members can see when threads are deleted and if noted why they were. Same with posts
