Did anybody noticed the name change on channel 499?

Interesting and confusing... Now I know how the monkeys felt when they saw the obelisk!

Monolith... I think the thing in Land of the Lost was called an obelisk.

I only say this because 1: I'm a movie nerd and 2: My old roommate used to always call it the obelisk too (as often as it would come up, of course!)

499 is gone welcome to 498 New Sat test channel.

Works great on my H20. come on Directv give us more !:

498 is the new DirecTV10 test channel. 499 has been removed.
If you tune to 498 and see a blank screen, don't panic - many people are reporting this. It may just be an authorization issue - I am sure DirecTV is investigating. If you tune to 498 and see "searching for satellite signal" you may have a problem.

The channel is FTA, so no such [in bold] issue exist !

Ok so if this message says "this is from the new HD satellite"....what the HECK is the problem with lighting up the rest of the channels??
