I'm moving and was taking down my sat equipment from the old house last night.

When I was unscrewing one of the coax lines to the switch i ended up unscrewing the actuall fitting a bit. It didn't come out all the way... about half way before I realized what was happening.

I went ahead and pulled off the back plate to check inside for damage and didn't see any wires or anything that were broken. It appears as though there's just some sort of "probe" attached to the board that goes into the fitting... it looked like it might even be disigned so that the fitting could be removed.

In any case, I'm wondering if my switch is screwed now. I don't want to plug it into my equipment and end up frying a receiver or something so I figured I'd ask, and if necessary, just buy a new switch. I need two and made sure not to do the same thing on the other one... so I would only need to replace one if I had to.

Thanks for the information folks!!
