Sorry for starting yet another Mexico related thread and if the mods want to move it, please do.

As many of those interested in Mexican reception have seen, I've been posting transponder lists from my receiver in Cancun since the move started. As of a few days ago, I was having issues with TP 7, 8, 9, 13 and 17 droppping out from about 9 AM to 9PM CDT. Today all transponders are receivable, with nothing dropping out as of 2:40 PM CDT. Does anyone know if Dish did some adjustments to E*14's orbit overnight? Or have they rolled back some of the FEC changes that were made?

If this level of reception sticks, I will not have to change my 1.1 meter antenna. I am very pleased with that.:)

I checked the tp that I had already signal in central mexico puebla and they went up 1 to 2 points up.
Those tps are 6, 10,11,14,15,18,19. A lot stronger than sat 110 with same dish 1.50 meter ( 10 points difference )

This tps are very weak tps 8,12,16,20,21. the weakest ist tp 20, then tp 21 then tp 8 and the others are moreless same

I have to tweak again dish to see if its possible to get more signal from 119 but the suggestion to all is get a steel or oem fiberglass 1.8 meter antenna.

Sat 110 with 1.80 antenna will avoid rain fade.
Sat 119 with 180 antenna not sure how much will the weak tps get up but the strong one have already enough signal to avoid rain fade

You'd have to check the TLE's of the satellite to see if they moved it over.

You can check the uplink center forum here to see if they rolled back the FEC changes. Which....they did not.

Digiblur, you always test my ability to learn :). The latest TLE info I could find is

ECHOSTAR 14
1 36499U 10010A 10172.52107655 -.00000003 00000-0 00000+0 0 1169
2 36499 0.0014 348.4874 0002877 96.6762 253.1086 1.00271525 970

But I don't know what to do with it.

Meanwhile, Day 2 of good reception after a week or more of daily LOS on 4 or 5 transponders here on the Mexican fringe.

I claim nudging the satellite orbit a tad is not going to be noticeable on the ground. On the other hand, if they reoriented the satellite, then that would have a dramatic effect since the footprint of all the antennas would move.

Thanks for the clarification of terms. In retrospect reoriented is the word I should have used. I'm still learning here.
