i think my old switch 34 needs to be replaced i canot get signal on the 3 and 4 output on the sw.
can anyone tell me the diferences betwen these 2

tx

34 is Dish Pro and has 4 outputs and feed throughs. 33 is Dish Pro Plus (supports dual tuner separator) with 3 outputs. A DPP33 should replace any single DP34 just fine unless you're feeding 4 non Dish Pro Plus tuners. (There's no such thing as a SW33 or SW34)

There is no such thing as a SW44? You might want to double check that :)

The DPP33 is a dish pro plus switch with 3 inputs and 3 outputs hence the 33. Dish pro switchs need to be used with dish pro lnbs so if you have a legacy lnb it will not work.

i have 2 boxes one 722 and one old 301 the 301 has stoped getting signal i have 3 lines coming in 2 for the 722 and 1 for the 301 from the dp34 so i think its gone bad. the forst 2 lines are working fine but not the 3 and 4 of the dp34.
i dont know what lnb i have they are on top of a building so i dont want to go up. should i buy another dp34 or buy the new dpp33 and also get rid of one line.

actually there is...there are SW42,44,64

42...2 inputs, 2 outputs (basically its 2 SW21 switches)
44...2 inputs, 4 ouputs
64...3 inputs, 4 outputs

each satellite takes 2 lines from LNB to switch

Do you have HD? Anyway, go out and look.

3 eye LNB= it's a 1000.2, just get a separator on one of the two lines coming into the 722 and ignore the other one. Replace the switch with a ground block or just barrels connecting the two lines you're still using.

Yeah I was being sarcastic, wink wink. I forgot about the SW42 though, Ive never seen or used one in the field.

Switch the two cables on your 722 rec. that is working to the two outputs that are in question and see if they are bad or not.
